This relaxed, hands-on workshop is designed specifically for complete beginners. Whether you’ve always wanted to learn to sew or simply don’t know where to start, you’ll be guided through the basics in a friendly, supportive environment.

What you’ll learn

During this 3 hour workshop, you’ll learn how to:

• Get to know your sewing machine and understand its basic functions

• Thread your machine and wind a bobbin

• Understand common sewing terms

• Choose basic stitches and machine settings

• Work confidently with fabric and your sewing machine

• Follow simple steps to create your own project

Once you’ve learnt the basics, you’ll put your new skills into practice by making your very own Box Zipper Bag - the perfect gift to yourself or a loved one, as who doesn’t love to receive something thoughtful and handmade!

There will be a small choice of fabrics so you can pick what you like.

You’ll leave with a finished project, some new sewing skills and the confidence to keep creating at home.

A copy of the sewing pattern and instructions will be given so you will leave with your completed project and knowing how to make another!

There’s no need to own a sewing machine or bring your own supplies. Sewing machines, fabric and materials are all provided.
