  • Our workshops are designed with the complete beginner in mind so you do not need any previous sewing experience.

  • Our workshops are kept intentionally small with 6 people to ensure everyone receives plenty of individual guidance and has the opportunity to ask questions and get hands on support throughout the session.

  • Our workshops are 2.5-3 hours long.

  • Our workshops are held at WOTSO, Mandurah.

    There is plenty of parking available off Ormsby Terrace and Marco Polo Drive.

    Enter the WOTSO building at the Reception door which is facing the roundabout. The friendly reception staff will guide you to our room.

  • We use Brother A16 machines which are very user friendly and suitable for beginners.

    Each participant will have their own sewing machine to use for the duration of the workshop.

About The Workshops

What Do I Need To Bring?

  • No - sewing machines and all tools are provided.

  • No - materials for the workshop project are provided.

  • Comfortable clothing is all that’s required.

  • Not currently but it may be something I offer in the near future.

  • Please check the workshop description for the project you will be making. They vary for each workshop.

  • Some projects will have fabric choices available but more specific makes (such as our Christmas workshops) will have particular fabrics provided.

  • Participants are provided with guidance throughout the workshop to keep them on track for finishing by the end of the session time.

About The Projects

  • Our beginner workshops are designed to introduce you to a sewing machine from the very start so you do need any previous experience.

    Everyone starts somewhere and I will be there to guide you through the start of your sewing journey.

  • This is why we keep our workshops small so you get plenty of guidance throughout the session. I will help with anything that you’re unsure of.

  • Absolutely! That’s what I’m here for.

    I am very happy to answer any questions throughout. There are no silly questions - I want you to leave feeling you got the full experience and are happy with your completed project. So ask away!

During The Workshop

  • Visit our Workshop page to check out What’s On! Simply choose your date and click Book Now and follow the simple booking process.

    Your space is only secure once payment has been made.

  • Simply choose your payment method at the checkout and follow the prompts.

  • Yes - You will be prompted for Participants details when you Add to Cart, so simply add the participants name at the Checkout and complete your booking.

  • Yes, simply choose your date and increase the quantity when booking.

  • Once the booking is complete and payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details you need about the session.

Bookings & Payments

  • We understand that plans can change.

    If you need to cancel your booking, please contact The Tailor’s Stitch as soon as possible.

    More than 7 days before the workshop:
    You may request either a full refund or transfer your booking to another available workshop of equal value.

    Within 7 days of the workshop:
    Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided for cancellations within 7 days of the workshop. However, you are welcome to arrange for another person to take your place. Please let The Tailor’s Stitch know the name of the person attending in your place before the workshop.

  • Yes - please contact me to change the participant name prior to the workshop date.

  • While every effort will be made to run workshops as advertised, The Tailor’s Stitch reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop where necessary.

    If The Tailor’s Stitch cancels a workshop, participants will be offered the choice of:

    • transferring their booking to another suitable workshop; or

    • receiving a full refund of the workshop fee.

Cancellations & Changes

  • Absolutely! Simply choose the workshop you would like to gift and add the participants name when booking.

  • We sure are!

    All workshops for the rest of 2026 will be individual 3 hour workshops but in the New Year I will be launching some exciting new beginner workshops and longer courses on garment-making which will be suitable for people with some previous sewing experience.
